Easy Matcha Green Tea Chocolate Chip Pancakes
Serves: 10 pancakes
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder
  • 1¼ cups water
  • 2.5 tablespoons greek yogurt (optional)
  • 1.5 tablespoons white vinegar (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract or content of one vanilla bean
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cups dairy-free chocolate chips
  • Toppings:
  • granola
  • raspberries
  • bananas
  • pure maple syrup
  1. Heat an iron griddle over the stove on medium to high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and green tea powder. Whisk until all dry ingredients are fully incorporated. Add water, vinegar, greek yogurt (optional), vanilla extract and maple syrup. Whisk until completely smooth and combined.
  3. Pour all ingredients into a large measuring cup with a spout and begin adding batter to griddle. Add a few chocolate chips onto the uncooked sides. When you see bubbles start to pop up (about 30-40 seconds) on the batter, carefully flip them to the the other side. Cook for another 30-40 seconds and remove from stove. Continue process until all of the batter is used.
  4. Top pancakes with granola, maple syrup, bananas and raspberries.
  5. Enjoy!
